More on the model rockets

Candy powered rockets? Want to know how to make one? or just see it fly!

I think this would be for physics students, but since its an indoor lab, and the math involved, it would really be a great activity to do in a math class, or joint project between a math/science teaching team!

Tell me which kids wouldn't love doing labs with a rocket car! Could even use video of car with LoggerPro to get data!

Here's a fun read about how homeland security and such are making 'home science' illegal in very unusual way. I liked the part where the guy explained how the Mr Coffee machine in most legislators offices contians 3 violations!

QuestAerospace is another company supporting the use of model rocketry as a science tool. They do a 'pop-bottle' rocket kit! Educators can "buy factory direct". I am assuming there Flics products are usable in a big gym by varying launch angle they could graph angle/distance and maybe angle/height (and if video and LoggerPro are available - watch out - its hi-tech science!)

Here's what I find exciting:
These guys carry model rockets and rocket supplies

but on their website, they almost always have internet coupons like this

so if my math is right, supply each student with a copy of the typical 40% off coupon, and they can buy themselves any rocket priced at $16.67 or lower for $10 (or less) [taxes not included in the equation]
