The IPOD Wins!
The Ipod will let you put content on it that isn't in your library!
There is enough untilities out there to allow just about any video format be converted to Ipod format, like last night I got a video off google-video, and its not one they want you to download.
I've been able to rip my foreign (UK) dvds to play on the Ipod. My wife even watched Rocky Balboa on our widescreen tv via the Ipod, and really didn't complain about the qaulity!
So if you are going to drop $250+ tax....get the Ipod. If you have more to drop, get the 80gig version for $100 more!
