
Yesterday, I posted 4 Gas Law Problems my students had for homework on the chalkboard, due when they walk into class.
Before class now I put totally bogus answers in the problems on the board, so people who walk in and try to cheat by copying and then handing it in will be BUSTED! They'll trust my answers more than a classmate, but won't catch those that cheat in the hall ... but I think it will still get a few losers!

Excellent! Cheating drives me nuts. Like the girl who photocopied another kid's paper. Photo. Copied. As if that wouldn't be obvious.
My favorite story is the kid my first year who answered a short answer question that wasn't on his test, but it was on the test of the kid next to him. I didn't have to punish them too harshly because neither of them knew the right answer anyway.
