Sunday - Father's Day. My daughter and her new husband poppped in on their way home from the honeymoon to start my day, and my son called at the last minute to end my day. In between we went to Hempsted and goofed around - man was it a hot day. Visited my dad, but McKenzie had decided not to come on Friday for the weekend, and then forgot to call. But of course when I had her on Mother's Day, we helped her make a big fancy card and took her to buy a gift for her mom. Got stuff from wife, grandson and the other grandparents too!
Monday - BIG DAY AT RICE! The NSF (National Science Foundation) was onsite for a funding evaluation, and I participated in a round table discussion (all current teachers in the summer institute did).
Tuesday - Married two years today. I surprised my wife by showing up at her job with a dozen roses and card. Ashley/Andy and acouple of their friends all popped in for viewing of their wedding photos.
Wednesday - Think I stopped by and helped Christopher on his computer or something. Chris came in so he could spend day at Rice with me on Thursday.
Thursday - Spent nice time at Rice. Then we picked up new kitchen tables and chairs, did the swap out. We went to Wing place to watch the NBA finals and play trivia. I won four games in a row, and the Spurs won. We had a good time.
Friday - Picked up Christopher, so he went with me and Chris to HMNS to see the Lord of the Rings Exhibit. We had lunch at 59 Diner. Sylvia and I finished watching the Sisterhood of the Traveling Pants. Lastly, a fish died.
Saturday - Took Discovery in for oil change and ran errands and updated the blog!
