AK-47 Build Project - Lil' Red

Majority of my parts came in from Carolina Shooters Supply. Great company, good prices. I disassembled the rifle completely, drilled and dremeled out 5 rivets, two were a snap, the other three were a bear!

After removing factory trigger guard and plate, I sanded and painted the area.

Watched videos from Carolina Shooters Supply website and successful y reassembled into a AK-47. Just waiting on bullet guide and muzzle brake.

Refinishing in Russian Red a PSL DRAGUNOV butt-stock.

Will watch for front end furniture from gun show, so I can be on quest for something!

Really excited, besides the Ruger 10/22s, majority of my gunsmithing has been external. I tore this thing apart and replaced and relocated the trigger group, a very rewarding experience. They say once you've done one, the rest are a piece of cake.

Now I can take the pulled factory trigger group, do a TRIGGER JOB on it, and try it out on one of my unmodified guns. If I mess up, okay, it was a spare! Time for YouTube research.
