What's the deal?

So I'm watching "For Colored Girls" and what is the deal? Black people only know and interact with Black people. Haven't seen any other race have a line in this movie. Is that they think the audience won't watch it when nonblanks play a part. It set in NYC, I know they got whites, Puerto Ricans, Asians, Eurasians.....
