Thanksgiving weekend decided to all the way with the jeep and install a laptop like the other "official" vehicles have. The mount is trickiest-abor intensive, but my prototype (using design from 'easylaptopmounts.com'. Instead of acrylic base I am using wire shelving to allow max airflow under laptop.
Fulltime (more or less) Internet connection based on plugging into iPhone, but upgrade today allowed connection via bluetooth, so it can still be in my pocket!
Had little gps unit I used to use with pocketpc setup, incorporated it into the system, as well as under-used webcam, it's now my backup camera, allowing me to see what is behind me.
Using 'Centrafuze' software as front end for car system, will even read emails out loud, annouces next song, impressive little setup, got to tell you!
