Just returned the 25th from Daisy, Arkansas. Its a small town on Lake Gleason, which is around 20 minutes from Murfeesboro, which is home to the CRATER OF DIAMONDS.
If you go, and have children, you also need to visit Ka-Do-Ha Indian Village. The village isn't 'great' for kids, its the Mining experience where "everyone is a winner" that will be the best $4 you'll spend!
If you do visit crater of diamonds, its has a great waterpark to cool off in (big modern play pool, nothing deeper than 2 1/2 feet! Just past the entrance to C of D is a nice rock shop, pick up some nice gifts there!
Spent three nights in tent at Wylie Recreational Area...great for $13 a night!
Had the best PIZZA in the last 20 years at Pizza Shack in Glenwood, take 27 North, about 15 miles from Kirby.
IN about 9 days, got a Disney-Orlando trip!
Oh, August 12/13 evenings - meteor shower...go outside and watch the sky for a while!
Got my new camera from WOOT. Very pleased with my first WOOT!
