Today - June 21st

I've been married 3 years today (though it feels like 20 with no chance of parole)

Today is the summer solstice, the longest day of the year in the northern hemisphere.

Did you know if you have Time Warner cable you can get all the HBO channels for $5/month for the next six months? Did you also know, if your a movie watcher, you've probably seen everything they are showing because everything seems to be about 5-10 years old on there? I enjoy it for the few series they have like Ali G, Curb Your Enthusiam and Rome. I hope they come out with a second season of Rome.

Speaking of cable, do you get BBC America? There a new school series called Waterloo Road that is set in a school that just started last week. I watched the first episode and it looks like a decent drama. We watch a lot of BBC in our home. We love Little Britian, What Not to Wear, plus a few other series I download off the internet.

I've switched High Schools, accepting an offer from Scarborough HS. Still in HISD, but its physcially about 1/3 the size of Sam Houston, so I'm liking that. It also has a better racial mix, instead of being >90%, its a 25/25/50 type mix of W/AA/H. I'm going to have a leadership position like I desired, and I think they'll listen to me, and I'm praying they'll spend on the items I've recommended.
