Today they announced they are dumping their UNLIMITED DATA for $30/month on IPADS starting June 7th. June 7th is the day I am suppossed to get my Ipad 3G. You can get grandfathered in apparently before June 7th, if you sign-up and keep renewing.
Well, this kind of upset me - which motivated me.
1) Jailbreak my Iphone - Did It
2) Get MyWi for Iphone - Did It
MyWi didn't work with my 3.0 OS
3) Jailbreak/upgrade to 3.1.2 - Did It
Lost all "my exisiting stuff" so its like a brand new phone
4) Trying a restore from backup (right now to see what I get back)
5) Reinstalled MyWi - appears to work
So via the Jailbreak and safe upgrade and MyWi
I can still "tether" via USB
I can still "tether" via Blue Tooth
NEW FEATURE: I can use MyWi and turn my iphone into a WiFi 3G Hub (like the MiFi products) and this should let me use my Ipad in a no FREE WIFI zone, without having to pay AT&T anything extra! And if anyone around me has Ipod Touchs, they can connect too!

Exactly. Myfi seems to work well though it does suck the life out of the iPhone battery.
