Last Day of 2009

I went to Cockrell Butterfly Center armed with my newly modified flash, new camera and two top notch macro lenses. The Sigma 180mm/3.5 and the Tamron 90mm/2.8.
A sample of the kind of shots I was able to get!

The picture above is un-cropped. I have the original over 4000 pixels wide. It looks incredible when viewed on a large screen, like a big flat screen TV


Earlier during the week, I went downtown:





Then I decided to head to the airport:



I had so much fun I went back the next day with a better lens:

When I got home from shooting the butterflies, my birthday present was waiting in the mailbox. I got a Peleng 8mm FISHEYE lens from Sylvia. Here is what other people have done with this lens.

Well, 2010 is here and I have gotten sparked into photography again thanks to my little red camera:
