Postcards

Over the last 10 years, almost every postcard I have bought while traveling has been a souvenir for me. Gets put in a stack, or used as a bookmark. I just discovered this site Postcrossing. You sign up, and it will give you someone in another country to send a postcard to. Then that puts your name in the hat after they log in to show they received your card, and then some random stranger somewhere in the world will send you a postcard.

Sounds like fun, and a great way to see some stamps from other places too!

I checked online last night and to send a postcard internationally, it cost 98 cents. I'm off to walmart today to get 5 (or more) postcards of Houston or Texas and I have my first five people to send to: someone in Romania, Germany, China, Brazil, and Finland. I've actually been to two of those countries, not bad!

Whenever mine come in, I guess I'll scan and put online!
