I'm a Science teacher in ANONYMOUS ISD, north of Houston, Texas. I made a career switch and went through an Alternative Certification Program and began teaching in fall of 2003. I spent the 2005-2006 school year doing one year of extreme professional development. I was also one of 3 US teachers to visit Tajikistan in the Spring of '06. UPDATE 2015: I have become enamored with the Raspberry Pi and will be concentrating on posting related to such

Didn't make the switch - just added to family!
It is three laptops in one!
I am using a program called PARALLELS and it is also able to run VISTA and Windows XP, all at the same time if I desire!
I love my Macbook. A friend of mine recommended parallels, but the only Windows thing I need is IE for our backward employer's website. But I refuse to spend the money because
a) it's only for one thing b) the principle of the thing
There may be some little programs, but nothing I can't live without, but then I'm not quite on your level. =)
