Well, they continue to amaze, because our 9 week grading period is only 8 weeks long, again, I cant explain how they bent the time space continium, but they did! I need to start watching Doctor Who on the BBC so I can better understand this Timelord stuff.
A secondary meeting came about and they would try real hard to use the numbers to set a goal and it was so funny becuase they couldn't because they didn't mean anything. "well if reduce the 47 stude...I mean if we can cut the 47 by 10 and ...."
Anytime they tried using the number in a sentence the sentence never ended correctly, instead always in an abrupt mumbling, because the numbers had no "value", it was just numeric characters. I had a very hard time containing myself, but I did enjoy the show.
So now since I don't formally talk in the meetings, I either pass notes to my neighbor telling him what to suggest (so he looks smart) or if I can preguess a discussion we are going to have, I email my team leader (he's on my side) my ideas, but have him say "I was talking to somebody and they suggested..." - so I'm playing Cyrano now in the group and its very freeing for me to just sit there and watch, nod and smile!
