I'm a Science teacher in ANONYMOUS ISD, north of Houston, Texas. I made a career switch and went through an Alternative Certification Program and began teaching in fall of 2003. I spent the 2005-2006 school year doing one year of extreme professional development. I was also one of 3 US teachers to visit Tajikistan in the Spring of '06. UPDATE 2015: I have become enamored with the Raspberry Pi and will be concentrating on posting related to such
If you ever plan on leaving TX, and if Houston A+ will pay for it next year, then yeah...do the national certification. The classes suck, but I don't think they are planning to torture us with them for the entire process, especially since we have to take more UH Masters classes for it. After I amde the last comment, I went to NBC.com and have been watching all the old episodes there. I like the site. They have every epiosode, unlike the Lost site where they only have the last 5 or so. Thanks for the DVD offer though.

I wish I would have gotten into that show. My brother loves it, but I missed so much that I too lost to start now.
