Mother nature takes control! It is Global Warming!

9:30CST All settled in at airport. Leaving for Washington DC for a reunion relating to my Tajikistan trip. I should be at the Relief International – Schools Online booth at the conference sharing my experience with passers by.

Today is the first time I had a substitute for my classes in two years really. I’m a little anxious. I run my classes fairly ‘tight’, and it those that usually behave the worst when the master is away. Today’s classes are to be taken to a computer lab to do a webquest on Trackstar I put together. Tomorrows get packets. Freshman have 6 pages to do, while my preAP Chem class has to solve the mystery of Mole Airlines Flight 1023.

I had an 11:30 flight, so I was going to park at the terminal, I thought it was like $8-9 a day, and offsite is usually $7, so I figured splurge! When I pulled up to get my ticket, its was $13 a day….but then my phone starts ringing, and since non one was behind me I answered it. It was a computerized message to let me know that my ‘flight 3440 has been delayed 89 minutes’. I pull into garage and the thought hits me. You got plenty of time to go to the cheap lot! So I head off and now I’m going to pay $6/day, so for 4 days I went from $52 to $24.

I had ordered 10 green lasers from Hong Kong to sell, for the convenience of my fellow astronomers. One I used as a gift, two sold at cost, and made a little profit on each of the other 7, so that is my spending money for this trip, plus the ‘grant’ my wife gave me, being that I am a ‘non-profit husband’. See, lasers like this in the states generally cost astronomers about $100, but I was able to sell them for $60, and am donating $5 of each of those sales to the astronomy club!

Well, there isn’t free wifi in this airport location, so I am going to attempt the ‘tether method’ with my RAZR phone. I plugged my PC into the extra socket by those massage chairs to charge my battery!

IT WORKED!

If you look on the horizon there is a bright brand, thats is between the ground and the edge of the front that is coming in!
